A multiagent urban traffic simulation

open access: yesCoRR, 2010
We built a multiagent simulation of urban traffic to model both ordinary traffic and emergency or crisis mode traffic. This simulation first builds a modeled road network based on detailed geographical information. On this network, the simulation creates two populations of agents: the Transporters and the Mobiles.

NETWORKS OF QUEUES FOR THE SIMULATION OF URBAN FLOW SYSTEMS: AN INTERMODAL TRAFFIC SYSTEM

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2004
In this paper we introduce a queueing network model, which can be used to simulate the behaviour of specific traffic systems in an urban context.

MICROSCOPIC TRAFFIC SIMULATION USING VANETS TRAFFIC SIMULATOR VISSIM

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Engineering and Technology, 2014
The growth of motorization on highways in India has so far been of 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler variety, imposing negative impacts on both bus and car transport. It has also resulted in highly heterogeneous traffic conditions with varying static and dynamic characteristics of different types of vehicles.

Optimization of Truck Platoon Size in Freeway Diverging Areas Based on Comprehensive Performance Evaluation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Truck platoons can enhance traffic throughput, achieve better fuel economy, and yield environmental benefits. However, in freeway diverging areas, excessively long truck platoons can cause a blocking effect on small vehicles exiting the freeway, thereby ...
