A Multivariate Regression Approach to Association Analysis of Quantitative Trait Network [PDF]
Many complex disease syndromes such as asthma consist of a large number of highly related, rather than independent, clinical phenotypes, raising a new technical challenge in identifying genetic variations associated simultaneously with correlated traits.

This study presents a novel implantable drug delivery systemwith a biodegradable poly(caprolactone) membrane and compressed drug core forsustained release. These implantable devices deliver risperidone in vitro for 170 days and in vivo for 49 days in rats, showing promise for chronic conditions like schizophrenia.

Exact Expressions for the Log-likelihood's Hessian in Multivariate Continuous-Time Continuous-Trait Gaussian Evolution along a Phylogeny [PDF]
We presents the closed form formulae for the likelihood Hessian matrix of a family of multivariate continuous-trait Gaussian Markov trait evolution model along a given phylogeny, in which the trait vector's mean is an affine function of that of its ancestor and the variance is not dependent of the trait.

A Penalized Multi-trait Mixed Model for Association Mapping in Pedigree-based GWAS [PDF]
In genome-wide association studies (GWAS), penalization is an important approach for identifying genetic markers associated with trait while mixed model is successful in accounting for a complicated dependence structure among samples. Therefore, penalized linear mixed model is a tool that combines the advantages of penalization approach and linear ...

Nano‐Topography Enhanced Topological‐Cell‐Analysis in Radiation‐Therapy
Radiotherapy, a treatment that implies exposition of cells to radiation, offers promise to treat cancer. Here, it is hypothesized that the nanoscale details of a scaffold can amplify the response of cells to radiation, measured through topological variables, providing ways to assess the efficacy of Radiotherapy treatment.

Information Theory in a Darwinian Evolution Population Dynamics Model [PDF]
Using information theory, we propose an estimation method for traits parameters in a Darwinian evolution model for species with on trait or multiple traits. We use the Fisher's information to obtain the errors on the estimation for one species with one or multiple traits. We perform simulations to illustrate the method.
