Disconnected optimal trajectories
Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 1969The Bolza problem of the calculus of variations in modern control notation is extended in scope to include situations in which a number of subarcs occur in a variety of ways. The subarcs are allowed to be overlapping and/or separated. This allows for several subarcs to occur in the same interval of the independent variable and also admits subarcs which

Joint Resource and Trajectory Optimization for Security in UAV-Assisted MEC Systems
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2021Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been widely applied in internet-of-things (IoT) scenarios while the security for UAV communications remains a challenging problem due to the broadcast nature of the line-of-sight (LoS) wireless channels.

Trajectory Optimization of 5-Link Biped Robot Using Beetle Antennae Search
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2021In this brief, we presented a framework for the trajectory optimization of the 5-link Biped Robot using the Beetle Antennae Search (BAS) algorithm. The biped robot is highly non-linear and has complex dynamical modeling.

Optimal trajectories are analysed, covering both constant- and variable-specific-impulse cases. Primer vector is defined and illustrated. The first-order necessary conditions for an optimal constant-specific-impulse (CSI) trajectory were first derived by Lawden using classical Calculus of Variations.

Optimal Trajectories for Spacecraft Rendezvous
Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2007This paper describes the formulation and numerical investigation of the thrust function required to minimize the time or fuel required for the terminal phase of the rendezvous of two spacecrafts. The particular rendezvous studied concerns a target spacecraft in a circular orbit and a chaser spacecraft with an initial separation distance and separation ...
