Trametes versicolor: A possible tool for aflatoxin control
International Journal of Food Microbiology, 2006The genotoxic, mutagenic and cancerogenic aflatoxins produced by Aspergillus parasiticus are not yet efficiently controlled besides the increasing researches on this topic. Aflatoxin production by A. parasiticus is related to oxidative stress and some antioxidants can inhibit their production. Some basidiomycetes as Trametes versicolor used as "healing

Determination of phenolic acids using Trametes versicolor laccase
Talanta, 2007Two biosensors based on Trametes versicolor laccase (TvL) were developed for the determination of phenolic compounds. Commercial oxygen electrode and ferrocene-modified screen-printed graphite electrodes were used for preparation of laccase biosensors. The systems were calibrated for three phenolic acids.

Heat Shock Treatment Improves Trametes versicolor Laccase Production
Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2012An efficient heat shock strategy has been developed to improve laccase production in submerged Trametes versicolor cultures. The optimized heat shock strategy consists of subjecting T. versicolor mycelial pellets to three heat shock treatments at 45 °C for 45 min, starting at culture day 0, with a 24-h interval between treatments.

Aims. The aim of current work was to assess the cytotoxicity and antiviral activity of culture broth from higher basidiomycetes Trametes versicolor 353 in culture cell HEP-2 and to investigate the effect of biomass T. versicolor 353 on the immunoreactivity indicators on experimental model in vivo. Methods.

Lignin-Enhanced Laccase Production from Trametes versicolor
Waste and Biomass Valorization, 2016Laccase production requires a cost effective boost from host organisms to meet the needs for its numerous applications. Addition of 1.2 g L−1 lignin to media culture of Trametes versicolor improved laccase production up to 1213.93 U L−1, which was 3.69-fold higher in comparison with that without lignin addition.

Aflatoxin control in feed by Trametes versicolor
2014Aspergillus flavus are well known ubiquitous fungi able to contaminate both in pre- and postharvest period different feed and food commodities. During their growth these fungi can synthesise aflatoxins, secondary metabolites highly hazardous for animal and human health.

Oxidation of anthracene by immobilized laccase from Trametes versicolor
Bioresource Technology, 2009The laccase of Trametes versicolor was immobilized on the functionalized nanoparticles SBA-15 with the average diameter less than 10 nm. Laccase mediated oxidations of anthracene (ANT) were investigated in the presence of two mediators, 2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) diammonium salt (ABTS) and 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (HBT ...

Heterologous expression of Trametes versicolor laccase in Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Protein Expression and Purification, 2018Laccase is used in various industrial fields, and it has been the subject of numerous studies. Trametes versicolor laccase has one of the highest redox potentials among the various forms of this enzyme. In this study, we optimized the expression of laccase in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
