Induction of laccases in Trametes versicolor by aqueous wood extracts
World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2013The induction of laccase isoforms in Trametes versicolor HEMIM-9 by aqueous extracts (AE) from softwood and hardwood was studied. Samples of sawdust of Pinus sp., Cedrela sp., and Quercus sp. were boiled in water to obtain AE. Different volumes of each AE were added to fungal cultures to determine the amount of AE needed for the induction experiments ...

Oxidation of anthracene by immobilized laccase from Trametes versicolor
Bioresource Technology, 2009The laccase of Trametes versicolor was immobilized on the functionalized nanoparticles SBA-15 with the average diameter less than 10 nm. Laccase mediated oxidations of anthracene (ANT) were investigated in the presence of two mediators, 2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) diammonium salt (ABTS) and 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (HBT ...

Aims. The aim of current work was to assess the cytotoxicity and antiviral activity of culture broth from higher basidiomycetes Trametes versicolor 353 in culture cell HEP-2 and to investigate the effect of biomass T. versicolor 353 on the immunoreactivity indicators on experimental model in vivo. Methods.

Biochemical and molecular characterization of a cellobiohydrolase from Trametes versicolor
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2007A cellobiohydrolase-encoding cDNA, Tvcel7a, from Trametes versicolor has been cloned and expressed in Aspergillus niger. The deduced amino acid sequence shows that Tvcel7a encodes a 456-amino acid polypeptide belonging to glycosyl hydrolase family 7.

Decoloration of a Carpet Dye Effluent Using Trametes Versicolor
Biotechnology Letters, 2004Although a non-sterile, undiluted carpet dye effluent (containing two anthraquinone dyes) did not support growth of Trametes versicolor, the pre-grown fungus removed 95% of its color in shake-flasks after 10 h of incubation. After decoloration, the COD of the cell-free supernatant increased and the toxicity was unchanged as determined by the Microtox ...

Mathematical model for Trametes versicolor growth in submerged cultivation
Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering, 2009Trametes versicolor is a white-rot fungus known as a producer of extracellular enzymes such as laccase, manganese-peroxidase, and lignin-peroxidase. The production of these enzymes requires detailed knowledge of the growth characteristics and physiology of the fungus. Submerged cultivations of T.

Characterization of Trametes versicolor laccase for the transformation of aqueous phenol
Bioresource Technology, 2008Laccase (oxygen oxidoreductase, EC 1.10.3.2) from Trametes versicolor was thoroughly characterized in terms of its catalytic stability and its effectiveness as a biocatalyst under various reaction conditions when using phenol as a model substrate. This enzyme demonstrated high or moderate degrees of stability at pHs from 5 to 8 at 25 degrees C and at ...

Whole Genome of Trametes versicolor
The Trametes versicolor genome project aims to decode the complete genomic sequence of this medicinal mushroom. It focuses on identifying genes linked to bioactive compound synthesis (e.g., polysaccharides) and lignocellulose degradation. The project provides foundational data for pharmaceutical development, industrial biocatalysis, and fungal biology ...openaire +1 more source

Protein–polysaccharides of Trametes versicolor: production
2013Abstract Extracellular- (E-PPS) and intracellular-protein– polysaccharides (I-PPS) complexes were produced by Trametes versicolor in submerged cultures with different carbon sources. The highest extracellular-(EPS) and intracellular- polysaccharide (IPS) concentration in the complexes was obtained with tomato pomace culture. DPPH radical scavenging for
