Enzymatic Poly(gallic acid)‐grafted L‐Histidine Reduces Cell Inflammation and Oxidative Stress: In Silico and In Vitro Studies

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 4, April 2026.
Microwave‐assisted grafting yields a PGAL–His conjugate with enhanced binding through electrostatic and hydrogen‐bond interactions. The material modulates THP‐1 macrophage response, reducing ROS production, pro‐inflammatory cytokines (IL‐6, IL‐1β, TNF‐α), and cell adhesion.

Production of laccases A and B by a mutant strain of Trametes versicolor.

open access: yesThe Journal of General and Applied Microbiology, 1986
After induction, the wild type of Trametes versicolor produced two forms of laccase (A and B) in the ratio of 9 to 1. A UV-selected mutant strain of Trametes versicolor isolated on high concentrations of p-xylidine, p-cresol and phenol produced these laccases without induction in the ratio of 4 to 6.

Covalent Immobilization of Laccase on Mesoporous Bismuth Silicate for High‐Performance Biodegradation of Contaminants

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 10, 1 April 2026.
Myceliophthora thermophila laccase covalently immobilized on bismuth silicate (BiSi‐ext) achieved synergistic adsorption–biodegradation of Tectilon Blue 4R‐01 and ibuprofen. The biocatalyst showed enhanced stability, reusability, and rapid pollutant removal via expanded active‐site accessibility, enabling efficient, eco‐friendly wastewater remediation.
