Acta Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2003 The title complex, trans,trans,trans-[FeII(C10H6NO2)2(C2H6O)2], is centrosymmetric and the quinaldinate ligands form five-membered chelate rings. The geometry of the complex is distorted octahedral, with a trans-FeN2O4 chromophore. The hydroxy H atom forms an intermolecular hydrogen bond with the carbonyl O atom of the quinaldinate ligand.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
