Processing transactions in a predefined order [PDF]
In this paper we provide a high performance solution to the problem of committing transactions while enforcing a predefined order. We provide the design and implementation of three algorithms, which deploy a specialized cooperative transaction execution model. This model permits the propagation of written values along the chain of ordered transactions.

Research and implementation of HTAP for distributed database
Data processing can be roughly divided into two categories, online transaction processing OLTP(on-line transaction processing) and online analytical processing OLAP(on-line analytical processing).

Transactional Process Views [PDF]
To enable effective interorganisational collaborations, process providers have to disclose relevant parts of their local business processes in public process views. A public process view has to be consistent with the underlying private process. Local business processes are typically supported by transactions, which ensure a robust and reliable ...

Bitcoin equilibrium dynamics: a long term approach
In the long run, Bitcoin transaction fees are the only source of revenue for miners. They compete broadly in two main ways: proof of work effort to win blocks; and transaction processing to gather fee rewards into the blocks they win.

S-Store: Streaming Meets Transaction Processing [PDF]
Stream processing addresses the needs of real-time applications. Transaction processing addresses the coordination and safety of short atomic computations. Heretofore, these two modes of operation existed in separate, stove-piped systems.

Blockchain Transaction Processing [PDF]
A blockchain is an append-only linked-list of blocks, which is maintained at each participating node. Each block records a set of transactions and their associated metadata. Blockchain transactions act on the identical ledger data stored at each node. Blockchain was first perceived by Satoshi Nakamoto as a peer-to-peer digital-commodity (also known as ...

Model-Based Proactive Read-Validation in Transaction Processing Systems [PDF]
Concurrency control protocols based on read-validation schemes allow transactions which are doomed to abort to still run until a subsequent validation check reveals them as invalid.

Eavesdropping near-field contactless payments: a quantitative analysis
This paper presents an assessment of how successful an eavesdropping attack on a contactless payment transaction can be in terms of bit and frame error rates, using an easily concealable antenna and low-cost electronics.

Preemptive Software Transactional Memory [PDF]
In state-of-the-art Software Transactional Memory (STM) systems, threads carry out the execution of transactions as non-interruptible tasks. Hence, a thread can react to the injection of a higher priority transactional task and take care of its ...
