ATraPos: Adaptive transaction processing on hardware Islands

open access: yesIEEE International Conference on Data Engineering, 2014
Nowadays, high-performance transaction processing applications increasingly run on multisocket multicore servers. Such architectures exhibit non-uniform memory access latency as well as non-uniform thread communication costs.

Molecular and functional profiling unravels targetable vulnerabilities in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We used whole exome and RNA‐sequencing to profile divergent genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of microsatellite stable (MSS) and microsatellite instable (MSI) colorectal cancer. Alterations were classified using a computational score for integrative cancer variant annotation and prioritization.

Plasma lipidomic and metabolomic profiles in high‐grade glioma patients before and after 72‐h presurgery water‐only fasting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

AWI-BS: An adaptive weight incentive for blockchain sharding

open access: yesJournal of Information and Intelligence, 2023
The sharding technique enables blockchain to process transactions in parallel by dividing blockchain nodes into small groups, each of which handles a subset of all transactions.

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

BitcoinF: Achieving Fairness for Bitcoin in Transaction-Fee-Only Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
A blockchain, such as Bitcoin, is an append-only, secure, transparent, distributed ledger. A fair blockchain is expected to have healthy metrics; high honest mining power, low processing latency, i.e., low wait times for transactions and stable price of consumption, i.e., the minimum transaction fee required to have a transaction processed.

High Availability and Load Balancing Solution Development in High Load Distributed Systems of Electronic Payments

open access: yesБезопасность информационных технологий, 2012
A review of several solutions for comfortable work in systems with a large number of short transactions has been produced in the work. Several common cluster design schemes of providing data identity between the nodes have been analyzed as well as ...

On transaction parallelizability in Ethereum [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Ethereum clients execute transactions in a sequential order prescribed by the consensus protocol. This is a safe and conservative approach to blockchain transaction processing which forgoes running transactions in parallel even when doing so would be beneficial and safe, e.g., when there is no intersection in the sets of accounts that the transactions ...
