Goodpasture's Syndrome: Diagnosis by Transbronchial Lung Biopsy

Annals of Internal Medicine, 1978

A Simplified Technique for Transbronchial Lung Biopsy

Radiology, 1973
Passing an endotracheal tube instead of a large or modified Metras catheter through the larynx ensures that the catheter can be placed easily in the appropriate lung segment, minimizes laryngeal irritation, prevents laryngeal spasm, allows more breathing space in the airway, and facilitates prompt resuscitation if respiratory distress or cardiac arrest

[Experience with transbronchial lung biopsy].

Orvosi hetilap, 1994
The histological results of transbronchial lung biopsies have been analysed in 109 patients with diffuse or localised lung diseases. This diagnostic procedure is relatively safe, well tolerable and can be carried out in outpatients. In diffuse lung diseases its use can replace the open lung biopsy.

Transbronchial Lung Biopsy in Diffuse Pulmonary Disease

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1977
The paper by Claude W. Smith and associates, “The role of transbronchial lung biopsy in diffuse pulmonary disease” (p 54, this issue) is unusual because it is presented by a group of thoracic surgeons who traditionally have favored open-lung biopsy.
