Isolated Tricuspid Regurgitation: Insights into Pathophysiology, Advanced Diagnostics, and Emerging Therapeutic Strategies

open access: yesSurgeries
Isolated tricuspid regurgitation (TR) represents a significant yet understudied cardiac condition, primarily arising from structural valve anomalies or secondary to right ventricular (RV) dysfunction.

Contemporary Management of Aortic Stenosis: Timing of Intervention and Lifetime Valve Management

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Clinical Investigation, Volume 56, Issue 8, August 2026.
As transcatheter treatment expands to younger and lower‐risk patients, aortic stenosis management is evolving from a single procedure to lifelong valve care. This review highlights the key challenges across the patient journey, from timely diagnosis and optimal intervention to durable valve performance, long‐term surveillance, and repeat intervention ...

Electrophysiologic Assessment of the Successful Left Bundle Branch Pacing Using the Standardized Criteria

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 8, Page 1746-1754, August 2026.
The left bundle branch anatomy graphic was created using AI‐assisted medical illustration. ABSTRACT Introduction Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) is an emerging physiological pacing method that preserves ventricular synchrony. Achieving true LBB capture remains challenging, and the reported success rates vary considerably due to nonuniform ...

Single Centre Experience With the Balloon‐Expandable Myval Transcatheter Aortic Valve System in Patients With Bicuspid Anatomy: 1 Year Follow‐Up

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 108, Issue 1, Page 144-162, July 1, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) anatomy remains challenging due to anatomical complexity and limited trial data. New‐generation balloon‐expandable valves, such as Myval, require further evaluation in this subgroup.

Simultaneous Transvenous Lead Extraction and Intra‐Operative Epicardial Extravascular Defibrillator (EV‐ICD) Implantation During Tricuspid Valve Replacement

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Transvalvular device leads are undesirable following tricuspid valve replacement. Simultaneous lead extraction and intra‐operative EV‐ICD implantation can provide ongoing defibrillator therapy without crossing the prosthetic valve and may avoid the need for additional pacing hardware when atrioventricular conduction is preserved.

Emerging insights into tricuspid valve disorders: epidemiology, clinical entities, innovations, and future perspectives [PDF]

open access: yesExploration of Cardiology
Tricuspid valve disorders (TVDs) have historically been underrecognized by clinicians. However, recent years have seen increasing awareness of their clinical impact. This mini-review aims to briefly highlight some questions regarding TVDs, such as Review
