Low‐Crosstalk Silicon Photonic Switch Fabrics for AI Datacenters and High‐Capacity Optical Interconnects: Device‐Level Origins and Mitigation

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Scaling silicon photonic switch fabrics for AI datacenters is fundamentally constrained by accumulated crosstalk, insertion loss, and device‐level non‐idealities. This work establishes a device‐to‐link‐to‐system framework that connects the physical origins of crosstalk to practical mitigation strategies across device, circuit, and control levels.

Property Rights Entrepreneurship: The Drive for Product, Asset, and Resource Excludability

open access: yesManagerial and Decision Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Property rights are foundational to market economies, and entrepreneurial activity depends heavily on the excludability afforded by property rights. Yet, the role of entrepreneurs in shaping the evolution of property rights has been so thoroughly taken for granted that it often vanishes from analyses.

An Integrated Numerical and Bollard Pull Evaluation Approach for Early‐Stage Resistance and Thrust Assessment of a Small Craft

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Early‐stage hydrodynamic assessment of slender multihull vessels is challenged by limited geometric maturity, uncertain propulsion integration, and strong sensitivity to operating conditions. Under such constraints, reliance on a single analytical or numerical method may lead to misleading design decisions due to oversimplification or ...

Mobilizing Presence across Borders: Devotion to Papua New Guinea's Blessed Peter To Rot in Australia

open access: yesOceania, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article engages with the conjunctures between migration and religion by focusing on the celebration of Papua New Guinea's ‘National Patron Saint’, the Blessed Peter To Rot, in the Australian diaspora. Both in Sydney and Brisbane, Catholic Papua New Guinea (PNG) migrants have been ‘relocating’ PNG shrines, regalia, relics and ritual ...

Interplanetary frontiers: terraforming from an invasion science perspective

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
The pursuit of a multi‐planetary existence represents one of humanity's greatest frontiers. If applied justly, it offers an opportunity to extend its civilization's lifespan amid escalating sustainability crises on Earth. One approach increasingly gaining traction is terraforming, a hitherto theoretical ecological and evolutionary experiment revolving ...
