Transconductance of electron tubes
Electrical Engineering, 1949ALL OF the functions of an electron tube when used as an amplifier, modulator, frequency doubler, or rectifier, can be formulated in terms of a plate-current-grid-voltage (i-e) characteristic expressed as the sum of constant, linear, and square terms in e.

A transconductance driven-right-leg circuit
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1999Biopotential measurements are very sensitive to electromagnetic interference (EMI). EMI gets into the acquisition system by many ways, both as differential and common mode signals, driven-right-leg circuits (DRL) are widely used to reduce common mode interference. This paper reports an improvement on the classic DRL.

A design methodology of lossy transconductance filters
IECON 2012 - 38th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2012Transconductance filters use LC ladder filters as prototypes. Unfortunately real LC filters and transconductance filters have losses and the resultant filter characteristics are often very different than the desired one. The purpose of this study is to redesign filters in such way that, despite of nonideal elements, the filter characteristics is very ...

SC integrators with simple transconductance amplifiers
Proceedings of Third International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems, 2002In the paper simulation results of the several sampled data integrator structures have been presented. The structure configurations are obtained by the use of a new technique based on switched capacitors and transconductance amplifiers. The transconductance amplifier characteristics are also investigated by the use of SPICE simulator.

Transconductance degradation in VLSI devices
Solid-State Electronics, 1985Abstract Experimental results from small geometry VLSI devices show that as devices are scaled, transconductance degradation occurs. This results from scaling either the length or width. A model using a mobility expression developed by Wang is used to predict transconductance in small MOS devices.

Transconductance as a Criterion of Electron Tube Performance
Bell System Technical Journal, 1949QUANTITATIVE evaluation of electron tube performance has assumed added importance with the increasing extension of electronics into the fields of measurement and control. Simplification of the process of selection of suitable tube types and operating conditions from the general data available is of considerable value to all engineers concerned with ...

Increased transconductance MOSFET device
2016 International Semiconductor Conference (CAS), 2016MOSFETs are modern devices used for electronic amplifiers. The MOS transconductance or shortly slope is a very important design parameter because it is directly linked with the magnitude of the amplifier voltage gain. Reducing the electronic devices dimensions in actual technologies creates strong advantages such as higher working frequency, but ...

CLASSIFICATION AND PATHOLOGICAL REALIZATIONS OF TRANSCONDUCTANCE AMPLIFIERS
Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2012Classification of transconductance amplifiers (TA) based on the number of input ports and output ports is given. A systematic generation method of TA based on using nullator, norator elements, and pathological mirror elements is used to provide pathological realizations of different types of TA.

Digital Optical Transconductance Amplifier
2023An idea for a digital optical transconductance amplifier is presented in this chapter. The amplifier that is being suggested here enables you to rate each noise modification for each channel while reducing overall power consumption and satisfying all application criteria.

Variable Transconductance Devices
1975The basic monolithic integrated circuit operational amplifier is no doubt the most universally applicable linear i.c. but there are now quite a wide range of other linear integrated circuits available. A general appreciation of the internal circuit operating principles of these devices enables them to be used with greater confidence and leads to an ...
