Electric field dynamics in the brain during multi-electrode transcranial electric stimulation
Transcranial alternating current stimulation (TACS) of the brain is widely used in neuroscience, but the electric fields produced when multiple stimulation electrodes are used are not well understood.

Temporal Interference Stimulation Enhances Neural Regeneration
Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is proposed as a non‐invasive approach to enhance neural regeneration in the deep brain. Theta‐band TI modulation selectively promotes neural progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and augments hippocampal neurogenesis in amouse model of Alzheimer's disease‐like amyloidosis.

Neuromodulation of Working Memory: Mechanisms, Targets, and Behavioral Outcomes
Working memory (WM) is a capacity-limited control system that maintains and updates task-relevant representations for goal-directed cognition. Because WM declines with aging and is disrupted across neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders ...

The Hippocampus Links Episodic Memory and Bodily Awareness
Hippocampal volume predicts both memory and bodily awareness in patients with mild cognitive impairment. This structural link positions the hippocampus as a key node connecting memory and the embodied self, with implications for early detection of Alzheimer's disease.

(A) Fifty MDD patients underwent an 8‐week TECAS treatment and were then classified into responders and nonresponders according to their clinical outcomes. (B) Resting‐state EEG was acquired from all participants and subsequently preprocessed. (C) Functional connectivity analysis revealed that TECAS modulates frontoparietal θ‐band connectivity in MDD ...

Non-invasive brain stimulation in research and therapy
Since the introduction of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) almost four decades ago, non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques have emerged as promising tools to study brain-behaviour relationships in healthy and impaired states with ...

ABSTRACT Background The dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) has become a cornerstone of pain neuroscience, believed critically involved in processing acute and chronic pain, as well as in pain modulation. The dlPFC is thought to balance sensory perception with the cognitive appraisal of noxious stimuli.
