The Effect of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation on Error Rates in the Distractor-Induced Deafness Paradigm

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2022
To further understand how consciousness emerges, certain paradigms inducing distractor-induced perceptual impairments are promising. Neuro-computational models explain the inhibition of conscious perception of targets with suppression of distractor ...

The Mild Behavioral Impairment Checklist for Parkinson's Disease: An Ancillary Instrument in Cognitive Assessment

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Mild behavioral impairment (MBI) is a syndrome characterized by the later‐life onset of neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) and serves as a potential marker for dementia. In Parkinson's disease (PD), MBI has been associated with worse cognition, cortical atrophy, and altered connectivity.

Effects of transcranial direct current stimulation on temperature and pain perception

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Transcranial direct current stimulation modifies cortical excitability and in consequence some cerebral functions. In the present study we aimed to elucidate whether tDCS could affect temperature and pain perceptions in healthy subjects testing different

Efficacy and Safety of IncobotulinumtoxinA for Treatment of Sialorrhea: A Multicenter, Phase 3 Study in Japan

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
This study demonstrated significant treatment efficacy and safety of incobotulinumtoxinA injection in Japanese patients with chronic sialorrhea caused by Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions. Suppression of salivary secretion and improvement in drooling symptoms were also observed throughout 48 weeks.
