Brain–computer interface for simultaneous dual‐region spatial coding in hippocampal and somatosensory cortex of freely behaving rats

open access: yesElectronics Letters
Decoding of spatial information from place cells is currently limited to individual brain regions, severely constraining the understanding of the brain's spatial navigation mechanisms.

Resonant Pressure Micro Sensors Based on Dual Double Ended Tuning Fork Resonators

open access: yesMicromachines, 2019
This paper presents resonant pressure micro sensors based on dual double ended tuning fork (DETF) resonators, which are electrostatically excited and piezoresistively detected.

1-3 Piezocomposite design optimised for high frequency kerfless transducer arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Piezocomposites that can operate at frequencies above 30 MHz without spurious modes are required in order to develop sufficiently sensitive high frequency arrays for high resolution imaging.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Aperiodic String Transducers [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2016
Regular string-to-string functions enjoy a nice triple characterization through deterministic two-way transducers (2DFT), streaming string transducers (SST) and MSO definable functions. This result has recently been lifted to FO definable functions, with equivalent representations by means of aperiodic 2DFT and aperiodic 1-bounded SST, extending a ...

Techniques for tailoring sonar transducer responses [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
This work is concerned with the design of sonar transducers operating in the frequency range 100 kHz to 1 MHz. The transducer frequency responses are predicted using a one-dimensional transmission line analysis. Differences between predicted and measured
