Structured lipids from virgin coconut oil as permeation enhancers and emollients in cosmetics / Salizatul Ilyana Ibrahim [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The influence of novel triacylglycerols (TAGs) on the topical delivery of α-tocopherol and their role as emollients was investigated. For topical application, TAGs as enhancers were developed to improve the delivery of actives across the skin as the skin

Wound Geometry Determines Whether Aligned‐Fiber Scaffolds Accelerate or Impede Diabetic Wound Healing: A Biased Random Walk Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 18, 15 May 2026.
Wound closure is governed by geometry‐orientation coupling: aligned fibers speed migration along their axis but hinder perpendicular advance. In vivo diabetic wound experiments with composition‐matched fibrin, combined with an anisotropic diffusion (biased random‐walk) model, quantify this trade‐off and generate a healing landscape.

Carboxymethylcellulose scaffolds for treatment of partial thickness burn wound - the aspects of wound moist regulation, bacterial burden control and tocotrienol therapeutic / Nor Amlizan Ramli [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Sodium carboxymethylcellulose (SCMC) is widely used in the design of wound dressing owing to its high water bonding capacity, good compatibility with skin and mucous membrane, biocompatibility and abundant availability at a low cost.

Trimethoprim/Sulfamethoxazole‐Induced Systemic Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis Syndrome: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole can induce life‐threatening toxic epidermal necrolysis. Early recognition, immediate drug cessation, and multidisciplinary supportive care are critical. Even with aggressive therapy, mortality remains high, and SCORTEN score aids in prognostication.
