Analysis of filter bank transfer functions

IEE Proceedings G (Electronic Circuits and Systems), 1987
Parallel filter banks are used for realtime signal analysis, e.g. spectrum or speech analysis. The problem to be solved in filter bank realisation is to achieve as high selectivity of individual filters as possible and simultaneously meet the amplitude and phase characteristic specification of the bank. A design method for a bank of analogue filters is

Principal Component Analysis in Transfer Function

2016
This chapter explores the transfer function in detail, with multiple linear regressions, and principal component analysis (PCA). Furthermore, it contains the slight description of various types of regression and emphasizes on the PCA and the calculations of principal components (PCs) in detail.

Program analysis with partial transfer functions

ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 1999
Program analyses used in compilers commonly use a transfer function (TF) to summarize the input/output behavior of a procedure or region, speeding convergence of analysis of the surrounding region or program. A partial transfer function (PTF) summarizes input/output behavior for only a subset of the possible inputs.

Transfer function analysis of baroreflex function in a rabbit model of endotoxic shock

2009 Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2009
Sepsis is characterized by profound cardiovascular abnormalities which may result from the derangements in the arterial baroreflex system and other autonomic regulatory functions. In this study, a mechanically ventilated and anesthetized rabbit model of endotoxic shock was utilized to mimic the behaviors of the cardiovascular system in a sepsis patient.

Functional Analysis of Phosphatidylinositol Transfer Proteins

1996
All eukaryotic cells contain a battery of cytosolic proteins that catalyze the energy-independent transfer of PLs, as monomers, between membrane bilayers in vitro (Rueckert and Schmidt, 1990; Wirtz, 1991). These proteins were initially detected in assays designed to identify polypeptides that could be involved in intracellular lipid sorting ...

Transfer function measurement and analysis for a magnetic resonance imager

Medical Physics, 1991
The transfer function characteristics of a 1.5T imager have been determined. An edge response function (ERF) was obtained from a water/Plexiglas interface at various pixel widths ranging from 0.312 to 1.0 mm. An SE pulse sequence was used with a 5‐mm transaxial slice.

Modeling and stability analysis methods of neutrosophic transfer functions

Soft Computing, 2019
Uncertainty is inherent property in actual control systems because parameters in actual control systems are no constants and changeable under some environments. Therefore, actual systems imply their indeterminate parameters, which can affect the control behavior and performance.

Directed-transfer-function based analysis for epileptic prediction

2016 9th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, BioMedical Engineering and Informatics (CISP-BMEI), 2016
epilepsy is a neurological disease with the feature of repeated seizures. The probability to predict upcoming seizures is an issue that attracts both researchers and clinicians. Meanwhile, the directed transfer function (DTF) analysis as mechanism for feature extraction in the intracranial electroencephalographic (iEEG) recordings applied to epileptic ...

Transfer function analysis of an oscillatory model chemical system

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1967
Abstract Oscillation occurring in the time course of a particular model reaction system is examined, utilizing the transfer function method of analysis developed in a previous paper. System properties predicted by the analytic technique correspond with those observed in analog computer solutions of the kinetic equations describing the system.

Transfer Function Analysis of a Quasioptical Ultrasonic Imaging System

Ultrasonic Imaging, 1984
The imaging properties of lenses have been well analyzed in the optical regime. However, most of these analyses have been confined to two cases: illumination of the object with ideal coherent or ideal incoherent light. In ultrasonics, imaging systems with lenses also are known.
