An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Transfer function analysis of dynamic cerebral autoregulation in humans [PDF]
To test the hypothesis that spontaneous changes in cerebral blood flow are primarily induced by changes in arterial pressure and that cerebral autoregulation is a frequency-dependent phenomenon, we measured mean arterial pressure in the finger and mean blood flow velocity in the middle cerebral artery (V˙MCA) during supine rest and acute hypotension ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

There are differences within the literature regarding the upper frequency cut‐off point of the dynamic cerebral autoregulation (CA) high‐pass filter. The projection pursuit regression approach has demonstrated that the upper frequency limit is ∼0.07 Hz ...

Analysis of the Metal Work Function Dependence of Charge Transfer in Contacted Graphene Nanoribbons
In this paper, the analysis of charge injection from metal to a contacted graphene nanoribbon (GNR) is developed by means of a scattering matrix approach. The charge transport, described by the Schrödinger equation in the 2D domain of the GNRs, is solved,

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Time Domain and Nyquist Analysis of InGaAs-GaAs Semiconductor Self-Assembled Quantum Dot Lasers Based on Transfer Matrix Method [PDF]
AAbstract: Transfer function of the InGaAs/GaAs SAQD laser is calculated using its rate equations. Using the calculated transfer function, time and frequency analysis can be implemented completely. In the time domain, the calculated transfer function can

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...
