ON THE MATHEMATICS PROBLEM OF MULTILAYERED DIELECTRIC SYSTEMS IN THE CLASSICAL ELECTRODYNAMIC
Solving numerous problems of wave propagation in inhomogeneous medium in optics and radio-physics involves layered media models. Unfortunately even for two-layer systems there is no known exhaustive classification of such systems presenting their “phase ...

Minimizing the number of layers of the quasi one-dimensional phononic structures [PDF]
In the work, multi-criteria optimization of phononic structures was performed to minimize the transmission in the frequency range of acoustic waves, eliminate high transmission peaks with a small half-width inside of the band gap, and what was the most ...

Study on land use change and driving force in Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration [PDF]
The study of land use change and its driving forces at urban agglomeration scale is one of the most urgent issues to be studied.Based on GlobeLand30 data set of 2000, 2010 and 2020, this paper uses ArcGIS and other software to calculate and process land ...

Renormalisation group for the transfer matrix
A real space renormalisation group method is developed for the transfer matrix, and applied to the anisotropic two-dimensional Ising model as an example. It is possible to maintain self-duality and so to obtain the exact critical line.

Study on Characteristics of Coupled-Core Four-Core Fibers With Different Core Pitches
We studied the characteristics of coupled-core four-core fibers (CC-4CFs) with different core pitches both theoretically and experimentally. The spatial mode dispersions of different fibers were analyzed, and the result agrees well with theoretical ones.

QUANTUM CORNER — TRANSFER MATRIX DMRG
We propose a new method for the calculation of thermodynamic properties of one-dimensional quantum systems by combining the TMRG approach with the corner transfer-matrix method. The corner transfer-matrix DMRG method brings reasonable advantage over TMRG for classical systems.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
