TsRNA-49-73-Glu-CTC: A promising serum biomarker in non-small cell lung cancer.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
ObjectiveLung cancer has the highest incidence and mortality rates globally, with the majority of cases classified as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Due to the absence of specific tumor biomarkers, most lung cancer cases are diagnosed at an advanced

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Hierarchical Collagen Nanofiber Gels Recapitulate a Physiologically Relevant Tumor Stromal Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The collagen nanofiber (CNF) gel supports cancer cell culture, exhibiting cell morphology and cancer‐related protein expression similar to Matrigel. It offers a higher collagen concentration than commercial gels. Additionally, the CNF gel allows replication of the high elasticity of in vivo cancer tissue by controlling collagen fiber sizes, ranging ...

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

Expression, functional role, and mechanistic insights into tRF-His-GTG-008 in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesWorld Journal of Surgical Oncology
Objective Transfer RNA-derived fragments (tRFs) represent a class of non-coding RNAs, typically ranging from 16 to 40 nucleotides in length, and have been implicated in the regulation of oncogenic processes. Despite emerging evidence of their involvement

Flash Assembloids: A Rapid Biofabrication of a Platform for Modeling Early Glioblastoma Invasion at the Glioblastoma–Brain Organoid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...
