A Smart Bio‐Battery Facilitates Diabetic Bone Defect Repair Via Inducing Macrophage Reprogramming and Synergistically Modulating Bone Remodeling Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This research presents a novel implantable bio‐battery, GF‐OsG, tailored for diabetic bone repair. GF‐OsG generates microcurrents in high‐glucose conditions to enhance vascularization, shift macrophages to the M2 phenotype, and regulate immune responses.

Transfer RNA Modification

EcoSal Plus, 2005
Transfer RNA (tRNA) from all organisms on this planet contains modified nucleosides, which are derivatives of the four major nucleosides. tRNA from Escherichia coli/Salmonella enterica contains 31 different modified nucleosides, which are all, except for one (Queuosine[Q]), synthesized on an oligonucleotide ...

Transfer RNA nucleotidyltransferase repairs all transfer RNAs randomly

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1977
Total Escherichia coli transfer RNA was converted to tRNA-C-C by periodate oxidation and partially repaired with either E. coli or rabbit liver tRNA nucleotidyltransferase. Aminoacylation of the partially repaired molecules indicated that individual tRNA species were each repaired to the same extent as the total population of molecules.

Transfer RNA and Aminoacyl Transfer RNA in Developing Rats

Neonatology, 1976
The total transfer RNA (tRNA) level in the liver, kidney, skeletal muscle and heart muscle of developing rats was determined by purification using (3H)tRNA as an internal standard. Liver and kidney contained almost twice as much tRNA per gram tissue as heart and skeletal muscle.

Transfer RNAs and transfer RNA-derived small RNAs in cerebrovascular diseases

Experimental Neurology
This article explores the important functions of transfer RNA and - transfer RNA derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) in cellular processes and disease pathogenesis, with a particular emphasis on their involvement in cerebrovascular disorders. It discusses the biogenesis and structure of tsRNAs, including types such as tRNA halves and tRNA-derived fragments ...

Transfer RNA nucleotidyltransferase

1990
Publisher Summary All tRNA molecules contain, at the 3′ terminus, the identical-CCA sequence that is required for their acceptor and transfer functions. In prokaryotic cells, no discrete pattern has emerged. In laboratory strains of Escherichia coli , all tRNA genes sequenced encode the -CCA sequence, and mutant strains devoid of tRNA ...

Transfer RNA

1999
Abstract Transfer RNA (tRNA) is the key intermediate in the process of protein synthesis. It is a link between genetic information contained in nucleic acids and its expression in the protein world. The molecule possesses two important ends; one interacts with the codon of the messenger RNA (mRNA) through three specific nucleotides ...
