Adaptive directional wavelet transform based on edge directed interpolation for image coding
2012 Third Asian Himalayas International Conference on Internet, 2012We propose a new image compression method based on directional wavelet transform. The proposed method exploits the local characteristics of image by combining the wavelet filters adaptive to edge orientation with quincunx sub sampling to form a 2-D non separable transform through lifting.

A power system harmonic detection technique based on a frequency domain interpolation wavelet transform is proposed. Aiming at harmonic detection, a fast Fourier transform (FFT) can only detect integer harmonics; a short time Fourier transform (STFT) can detect non-integer harmonics with low resolution; a wavelet transform can detect non-integer ...

Wavelet Transform Based Image Interpolation Using PBP Cubic and Hybrid Filter
International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering, 2016In this paper, a new wavelet based image interpolation algorithm using pixel-by-pixel (PBP) cubic image interpolation and hybrid filter is proposed for images which include many mid and high frequency elements. There is much important information in frequency bands.

Transformation Based Backward Fuzzy Rule Interpolation with Multiple Missing Antecedent Values
2018S-BFRI Jin S, Diao R, Shen Q (Backward fuzzy interpolation and extrapolation with multiple multi-antecedent rules, pp 1170–1177, 2012 [1]) enables a missing antecedent value to be interpolated in a backward fashion by exploiting the other given antecedents and the consequent.

The development of an effective and dependable multiple description coding scheme over a lossy communication system is described. A general framework of an effective multiple description robust communication system with two-channel and four-channel cases is presented with a proposed block-based DC coefficient relo- cation and AC coefficient ...

Abstract In recent years, many studies have been performed to reconstruct traces missing from irregularly undersampled seismic data. In this paper, we introduce a new curvelet-transform-based projection onto convex sets (POCS) algorithm that applies the curvelet transform to 2D Fourier-transformed data in the f–k domain instead of data in the t–x ...

Kriging interpolation provides the best linear unbiased estimation for unobserved locations, but its heavy computation limits the manageable problem size in practice. To address this issue, an efficient interpolation procedure incorporating the fast Fourier transform (FFT) was developed.
