Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Flat coordinates of flat Stackel systems
In this article we explicitly construct Stackel separable systems in separation coordinates with the help of separation curve as introduced by Sklyanin. Further, we construct explicit transformation between separable and flat coordinates for flat Stackel

Why human connection is the true metric of research success
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

Transformation of Geodetic Coordinates Between Datums Used in Syria by Multiple Regressing Equations
The geodetic network does not cover the entire area of Syria. This network has been damaged in different areas over years; whether in vacant or damaged places, some of its points have become unreliable and inaccurate.

Real-Time Collision Warning System for Over-Height Ships at Bridges Based on Spatial Transformation
Rapid identification of vessel height within the navigable space beneath bridges is crucial for ensuring bridge safety. To prevent bridge collisions caused by vessels exceeding their height limits, this article introduces a real-time warning framework ...
