The Physics of Coordinate Transformations
2005AbstractThis chapter discusses the physics of coordinate transformations. Topics covered include coordinatization of space-time, inertial coordinate systems, the linearity of inertial coordinate transformations, and the rod and clock protocols.

Factors influencing the insulation coordination of transformers
Electrical Engineering, 1933IN THE early days of the electrical industry, surges were relatively mysterious as to their origin, magnitude, and behavior. The ordinary factory tests now required by the A.I.E.E. rules were the reflection of experience and judgment rather than the analysis which has been made possible in the last few years.

Transformations of the coordinate system (unit-cell transformations)
2006Transformations of the coordinate system are useful when nonconventional descriptions of a crystal structure are considered, for instance in the study of relations between different structures, of phase transitions and of group–subgroup relations.

Representations of the coordinate transformation group
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1974In this paper we deal with the Lie (pseudo-) group of coordinate transformations in four dimensions. We discuss the detailed structure of the corresponding Lie algebra, especially including Theorem II, which states a limited set of structure relations that uniquely determine the structure of the algebra.

Equations of Motion and Coordinate Transformations
1984The coordinate frames, the relevant transformations, and the differential equations of motion for simulating the general motion of the bearing elements in a six-degree-of-freedom system are defined, and the various steps involved in the simulation process are schematically outlined.

Properties of the Lorentz Coordinate Transformation
2017The addition theorem of velocities is presented both for the collinear and for the general case of two arbitrary velocities; Fresnel drag coefficient of light in moving fluid is shown to be direct consequence of velocity addition theorem. Using addition theorem, speed of light is shown to be maximum observable body speed.

Coordinates of Modern Urbanism: discursive Transformations
Modern urban studies has a chance to offer the scientific community a research model (coordinate system) that significantly expands the possibilities of urban research, giving them a comprehensive and systematic character. The monograph combines the materials of the best reports presented at the international scientific conference "Coordinates of ...Irina Savchyenko, Yuliya Kozlova

Transformation of Coordinates between Cartesian Systems
2001It is often necessary to convert spatial data from one reference system to another. For example, when one has determined the positions of some points in a local rectangular grid system (see Chapter 2 for definitions of the various reference systems), the positions may be converted to a national grid system, or vice versa, for various reasons.
