Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

3D CATBraTS: Channel Attention Transformer for Brain Tumour Semantic Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Brain tumour diagnosis is a challenging task yet crucial for planning treatments to stop or slow the growth of a tumour. In the last decade, there has been a dramatic increase in the use of convolutional neural networks (CNN) for their high performance ...

Transformations Debugging Transformations. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Abstract: Practical model transformation (MT) frameworks are usually composed of multiple execution contexts, building an overall workflow by abstracting different aspects of execution. This heterogeneity brings additional challenges to debugging, which must address a combination of quite different graphical and textual formalisms.

The Role of “Adult‐Onset” Cancer Predisposition Genes in Pediatric Cancer: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current literature estimates that 10% of pediatric cancers are caused by pathogenic or likely pathogenic (P/LP) germline variants in cancer predisposition genes (CPGs). Variants in CPGs thought to increase cancer risk exclusively during adulthood are referred to as “adult‐onset” CPGs (aoCPGs).

Studying the Effect of Stray Capacitance on the Measurement Accuracy of the CVT Based on the Boundary Element Method

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
The capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) is a special measuring and protecting device, which is commonly applied in high-voltage power systems. Its measurement accuracy is affected seriously by the stray capacitances of the capacitance voltage divider ...

Tracking Health Related Quality of Life From Diagnosis to Follow‐Up Among Australian Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is one of the most treatable forms of paediatric cancer; however, there is a substantial burden of treatment‐related toxicities (TRTs). In addition, the long‐term changes in children's health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) due to toxic treatments are not well understood.

Partial Discharge Location within a Transformer Winding using Principal Component Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Partial discharge (PD) may occur in a transformer winding due to ageing processes, operational over stressing or defects introduced during manufacture. The presence of PD does not necessarily indicate imminent failure of the transformer but it will lead ...
