Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Nonlinear Vibration and Control of Underwater Supercavitating Vehicles

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
When a supercavitating vehicle navigates underwater at a high speed, most of the surface is wrapped by cavity. With the influences of the system parameters and launching state, the nonlinear oscillation of the vehicle always occurs because of the ...

Drag coefficient identification of high-spinning projectile using cubature Kalman filter

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
In order to obtain the aerodynamic parameters of a high-spinning projectile, a new parameter identification method is proposed based on the Cubature Kalman Filter (CKF).

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transient pseudohypoaldosteronism

open access: yesSrpski arhiv za celokupno lekarstvo, 2011
Introduction. Infants with urinary tract malformations (UTM) presenting with urinary tract infection (UTI) are prone to develop transient type 1 pseudohypoaldosteronism (THPA1). Objective. Report on patient series with characteristics of THPA1, UTM and/or UTI and suggestions for the diagnosis and therapy. Methods.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Multiscale Collaborative Attention Network for Robust Multiobject Tracking in Satellite Video

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Satellite video has revolutionized Earth observation, offering unprecedented capabilities for automated object tracking. However, multiobject tracking (MOT) in satellite videos remains highly challenging due to complex backgrounds, extremely low signal ...
