RELAP4: a computer program for transient thermal-hydraulic analysis

open access: yes, 1973
RELAP4 is a digital computer program, written in FORTRAN IV, developed to describe the behavior of water-cooled nuclear reactors subjected to postulated transients such as those resulting from loss of coolant, pump failure, or power excursions. The program calculates fluid conditions such as flow, pressure, mass inventory, and quality; thermal ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Automated Synthesis of SEU Tolerant Architectures from OO Descriptions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
SEU faults are a well-known problem in aerospace environment but recently their relevance grew up also at ground level in commodity applications coupled, in this frame, with strong economic constraints in terms of costs reduction.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Analysis of Electric Circuit in Transient State by Means of Automatic Digital Computer

open access: yes, 1967
summary:In the submitted paper the algorithm for the analysis of the general electric circuit with lumped parameters in transient state is given. The algorithm for the loop currents method is formulated by means of matrix calculus.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Nonlinear control of single-machine-infinite-bus transient stability

open access: yes, 2006
Of increasing importance in network design is the requirement to control power system transient stability following large disturbances. If series or shunt control devices are available within the network, then improvements to the transient properties of ...

Functional programming applied to electrical engineering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Many engineering projects rely on software to execute simulations and analysis of a wide variety of domains. Computer programs are great allies of the engineers when it comes to simulations, including the ones for electromagnetic transient analysis ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
