Transient based protection using current transients
2008 IEEE 2nd International Power and Energy Conference, 2008A transient based protection criterion using the wavelet transform results of current transients from the two ends or three ends (T-type line) of high voltage power transmission line is presented. According to the attenuation effects of high voltage transmission line and busbar capacitance to high-frequency current transients, differences of current ...

Transient current estimation using S3C (Standard cell current transient characterization)
2015 19th International Symposium on VLSI Design and Test, 2015This paper continues to build on the dynamic current transient estimation method introduced in previous work. Our previously introduced method uses pre-characterized data from standard cells to estimate the total current transient of a path. This method eliminates the necessity of running resource intensive full-chip SPICE simulations to estimate the ...

Transient Current Spectroscopy In Polymeric Films
SPIE Proceedings, 1987We briefly review dispersive transport and treat in more detail the multiple-trapping mechanism. We consider the problem of transient current spectroscopy: Given the experimental current I(t) how does one extract a distribution of rates? Extensive new measurements were made in a well studied polymeric material.

Transient outward potassium current in ICC
American Journal of Physiology-Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology, 2010Interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) are the pacemakers of the gut, initiating slow-wave activity. Several ion channels have been identified that contribute to the depolarization phase of the slow wave. Our aim was to contribute to knowledge about the identity and role of ICC potassium channels in pacemaking.

After giving a general survey on the earlier papers dealing with the eddy currents transients the author specifies his basic 1-dimensional theoretical model. Then the theory of transients both with ideal constant-current source and voltage source as supply is developed. The analysis presented involves the effect of the airgap in the magnetic circuit as

Transient currents in nematic liquid crystals
Physical Review B, 1991Transient currents induced by the polarity reversal of a dc voltage applied to a liquid-crystal cell have been experimentally studied. For voltages less than a characteristic value, the time occurrence of the peak current decreases with decreasing applied voltage, which is contrary to behavior expected for a normal carrier-transport process. To explain

Current Management of Transient Ischemic Attack
American Journal of Cardiovascular Drugs, 2007Transient ischemic attack (TIA) is a precursor to ischemic stroke. At least half of patients with TIA have a new, small ischemic lesion demonstrable on magnetic resonance imaging using a diffusion weighted sequence. The risk of subsequent major stroke is 10-20% in the next 3 months with much of that risk front-loaded in the first week.

Transient Currents in Schefflera Stems
IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1986The long-term transient and steady-state currents produced in Schefflera stems by polarizing voltage steps of various amplitudes, and the subsequent depolarization currents, are investigated. Concurrent measurement of the voltage drops in the vicinity of the positive and negative electrodes permits the elimination of the electrode impedances.

Thermal current transients in polyethylene
Journal of Electrostatics, 1983Abstract A thermal current transient technique, using a step input of radiations, has been employed in this work to study the nature of induced polarization in untreated and hexanetreated (commercial) low-density polyethylene film as a function of charging fields.
