Beyond Passivation: Designing Structurally Tailored Artificial Interphases for High‐Energy Lithium‐Based Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review outlines critical engineering design rules for building artificial protective coatings on next‐generation lithium metal and silicon battery anodes. It highlights how balancing structural flexibility with strict electronic and ionic transport limits prevents early battery failure.

Hybrid Additive Manufacturing of Highly Stretchable Bottlebrush Polymer Nanocomposites by Decoupled Extrusion and Photopatterning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A Hybrid Direct Ink Writing–Digital Light Processing (HDD) strategy decouples material extrusion from shape definition, enabling high‐fidelity additive manufacturing of highly viscous, yield‐stress polymer nanocomposites. Excess ink acts as a removable, self‐supporting scaffold, allowing fabrication of unsupported and embedded complex architectures ...

Enclosure Voltage Rise in High-voltage Switchgear Due to Disconnector Switching

open access: yes, 2002
Porast potencijala oklopa plinom izoliranih visokonaponskih postrojenja posljedica je širenja i prijelaza unutarnjih vrlo brzih prenapona na vanjski oklop i uzemljene dijelove postrojenja.

Voltage and beat dependence of Ca2+ transient in feline ventricular myocytes

open access: yes, 1989
The positive contractile staircase after a period of rest is attributable to a positive staircase in the magnitude of the Ca2+ transient. The present study used voltage-clamp techniques and the fluorescent Ca2+ indicator, indo-1, to examine the effects ...

Combined Time and Information Redundancy for SEU-Tolerance in Energy-Efficient Real-Time Systems

open access: yes, 2006
Recently the trade-off between energy consumption and fault-tolerance in real-time systems has been highlighted. These works have focused on dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) to reduce dynamic energy dissipation and on time redundancy to achieve transient ...

Biodegradable and Edible Milli‐Fluidic Logic Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Fully biodegradable and edible fluidic circuits are developed using gelatin‐based valves that operate at low pressure. Logic gates, a one‐bit memory, and a ring oscillator are demonstrated, showing that biodegradable materials can perform computation and control.

Transient voltage distribution in transformer winding / Ahmad Firdaus Ahmad Morly [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper describes how to obtain parameters of a standard winding using 2D FEMM and Transient Voltage Distribution in Transformer Winding using Pspice. The values of inductance L, capacitor Cs and Cg are obtained by using 2D FEMM software.

Copper Electroplated TPMS Polymer Lattices for Lightweight Absorption Dominant Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Copper electroplating transforms lightweight 3D‐printed TPMS polymer lattices into effective electromagnetic shields. Topology, relative density, and conductive seed layer continuity govern copper penetration, electrical resistance, and attenuation. SEA consistently exceeds SER, while 35% RD Diamond lattice gives the best performance, reaching 48.72 dB

Zero‐Waste Manufacturing of Ophthalmic Lenses by Direct Fluidic Shaping in Arbitrary Domains

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Conventional ophthalmic lens manufacturing discards up to 97% of material through subtractive processes. The Cookie Cutter algorithm extends Fluidic Shaping to arbitrary rim geometries. The framework prescribes a spatially varying boundary height that, under neutral buoyancy and surface tension, shapes curable polymer into spherocylindrical lenses that
