Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

A current limiting strategy for grid-forming converters based on voltage deviation adaptive virtual impedance

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
Grid-forming (GFM) converters face the risk of saturation under large disturbances, which will degrade the stability performance of the system. Most existing adaptive virtual impedance methods generate virtual impedance based on current limit values ...

Transient stability enhancement and voltage regulation of power system using I/O feedback linearization technique

open access: yes, 1997
To maintain a high degree of reliability, the impact of major disturbances, such as a large sudden fault, should be considered during power system stabilizer design.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Power System Transient Stability Assessment Method Based on Graph Convolutional Network Considering Unbalanced Samples

open access: yesTaiyuan Ligong Daxue xuebao
Purposes Data-driven transient stability assessment of power systems has become the mainstream research direction at this stage. However, in the practical applications, there are still problems such as too few unstable samples and lack of consideration ...

Dynamic simulation of centrifugal compressors in a process environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The recent developments in process plant design have made it desirable that a better understanding of transient compressor performance within the process plant be gained.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Determination and Verification of Real-Time Transient Stability of Jeju System According to Increase in Renewable Energy

open access: yesEnergies
The increasing integration of resources with limited flexibility, such as solar power, electric vehicles (EVs), and other renewable energy sources, has raised significant concerns regarding power system stability.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
