A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 7, Page 2014-2037, July 2025.
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 7, Page 1935-1967, July 2025.
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

Impact of HVDC transmission capacity on multi-send HVDC system voltage stability

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
The massive construction of high voltage direct current (HVDC) makes the AC/DC interactions very complicated, which seriously affects transient voltage stability.

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories predict survival in trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 7, Page 2120-2132, July 2025.
The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...

Transient voltage stability assessment of renewable energy grid based on residual SDE-Net

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
For the purpose of assessing the transient voltage stability of renewable energy grid more effectively and to measure the epistemic uncertainty of the evaluation results, a power system transient voltage stability assessment method based on residual ...

Comprehensive transient-state study for CARMENES-NIR high thermal stability

open access: yes, 2010
CARMENES has been proposed as a next-generation instrument for the 3.5m Calar Alto Telescope. Its objective is finding habitable exoplanets around M dwarfs through radial velocity measurements (m/s level) in the near-infrared.

Integrative analysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients: a comprehensive approach

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 7, Page 2038-2055, July 2025.
This study simultaneously investigated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients. The elevated expression of JUNB and CXCR4 in CTCs was a poor prognostic factor for SCLC patients, whereas exosomal overexpression of these biomarkers revealed a high discrimination ability of patients from healthy individuals,

Pressure activated stability-bypass-control valves to increase the stable airflow range of a Mach 2.5 inlet with 40 percent internal contraction [PDF]

open access: yes
The throat of a Mach 2.5 inlet with a coldpipe termination was fitted with a stability-bypass system. The inlet stable airflow range provided by various stability-bypass entrance configurations in alternate combination with several stability-bypass exit ...

MET variants with activating N‐lobe mutations identified in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinomas still require ligand stimulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

Online Assessment of Transient Stability of Grid Connected PV Generator With DC Link Voltage and Reactive Power Control

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The proliferation of Photovoltaic (PV) generation has brought several changes in the transient stability analysis of power systems. The rotor angle dynamics based stability analysis used for synchronous generators may not be applicable for PV generators.
