Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

On-Line Transient Stability Assessment Using Matlab Parallel Programming Environment

open access: yes, 2010
Transient Stability Assessment (TSA) is the major part of Dynamic Security Assessment (DSA) in an electric power system. On-line TSA has gained more importance for power system security in last two decades.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

Assessment of the stability of a multimachine power system by the transient energy margin

open access: yes, 1982
This research develops a tool for the direct assessment of the transient stability of a multimachine electric power system that is subject to a large disturbance. The tool is the Transient Energy Margin.

A domain adaptation‐based convolutional neural network incorporating data augmentation for power system dynamic security assessment

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering
Recently, deep learning (DL) based dynamic security assessment (DSA) methods have been very successful. However, although a DSA model can be trained well for a specific topology, it often does not perform well for other topologies.

Markov Transition Fields-Based Dual-Modal Fusion Method on Transient Stability Assessment for Power Systems

open access: yesEnergies
There is an extremely urgent need to develop a transient stability assessment method for new power systems with greater rapidity and higher accuracy due to the increased complexity and difficulty caused by massive nonlinear power electronics-dominated ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Transient stability analysis of multimachine power systems by catastrophe theory

open access: yes, 1987
Transient stability analysis is an important part of power system planning and operation. For large power systems, such analysis is very demanding in computation time.
