Impact of fault location on transient stability of synchronous generator
Proceedings of the 2014 15th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE), 2014This paper presents the impact of fault in various lengths of power line on transient stability of synchronous generator. The same events on two power lines are compared by means of transient simulations, the difference is at fault distance on assessed power lines considering the generator.

Effect of Clearing Time on Synchronous Machine Transient Stability
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers. Part III: Power Apparatus and Systems, 1957The paper is concerned with the effect of clearing time on the transient stability of a 2-machine system. An equivalent electronic analog interconnection for the equations of the system is used for the solution of the problem. The analog is based on a modified form of Park's equations and it allows for the variation of field flux linkage with time ...

Region of transient stability in state space for synchronous generator
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1975This paper describes an analytic method of determining the region of transient stability in state space for a synchronous generator. The boundary of the region of stability is found in the form of a power series; the coefficients appearing in the series are determined recursively by consideration of conditions at the unstable singular point of the ...

Transient Stability Assessment of a Power System with a Static Synchronous Series Compensator
First Asia International Conference on Modelling & Simulation (AMS'07), 2007Static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) is widely used in power systems to control power of power system by injecting appropriate reactive power into the system. It also has the capability of improving stability and damping by dynamically controlling its reactive power output.
