Amplifier for scanning tunneling microscopy at MHz frequencies

open access: yes, 2018
Conventional scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) is limited to a bandwidth of circa 1kHz around DC. Here, we develop, build and test a novel amplifier circuit capable of measuring the tunneling current in the MHz regime while simultaneously performing ...

Dual Transimpedance Amplifier for 43 Gbps applications

open access: yes, 2002
A 3-stage dual TransImpedance Amplifier (TIA) on one 2x1.8 mm 2 GaAs chip with 0.2 µm pHEMT technology has been designed for fiberoptic communication applications. It uses cascode connected common source FETs in a Constant-K configuration. The operating frequency ranges from DC to 35 GHz. The TIA is designed for a diode capacitance of 120 fF.

3D Microprinting of Structures with Lanthanide‐Based Fluorophores on Optical Fibers for Multiplexed Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 9, 6 March 2026.
Incorporating lanthanide‐based fluorophores into commercial resists for femtosecond direct laser writing enables a novel platform for multiplexed sensing. Porous, periodic, and solid luminescent microstructures fabricated directly on optical fiber tips are presented.

Wireless and Soft Pulse Wave Measurement Device with Printed Ferroelectric E‐tattoo Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT We propose a non‐invasive pulse wave monitoring system that integrates a fully printed, partially stretchable ferroelectric electronic tattoo (e‐tattoo) sensor with a soft, elastomer‐encapsulated, partially stretchable data transmission unit (DTU).

A switching threshold programmable high-linearity transimpedance amplifier for OLED pixel current mismatch measurement

open access: yesJournal of Information Display, 2020
In this paper, we present a new switching threshold programmable transimpedance amplifier (TIA) for OLED pixel current measurement system. The TIA is composed of an inverter-based cascode amplifier that achieves DC gain of 87 dB for high linearity.

Structure‐Dependent Resonant Frequency Engineering of Textile Tactile Sensors Toward Rapid and Precise Braille Recognition Surpassing Human Sensation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
A resonant frequency engineering strategy is proposed to modulate the sensibility of piezoresistive textile‐based tactile sensor. It achieves simultaneous detection of static pressure and dynamic vibrations across an unprecedented bandwidth of 5–600 Hz, surpassing human sensation, therefore enables rapid and precise braille recognition.

A CMOS Inverter-Based Active Feedback Transimpedance Amplifier

open access: yesPhotonics
This paper presents an inverter-based active feedback transimpedance amplifier (IAF-TIA), in which an active feedback is applied to a voltage-mode inverter-based TIA, and therefore, the controlled positive regeneration process enables the proposed IAF ...

In‐Operando 4D‐STEM and STEM‐EBIC Imaging of Electric Fields and Charge Carrier Behavior in Biased Silicon p–n Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 5, 9 March 2026.
This work presents a study of how 4D‐STEM centre of mass measurements and STEM‐EBIC can be used to map the positions, directions, and strengths of electric fields in semiconductor devices. The contrast mechanisms of both techniques are tested and compared with simulations to build a robust analysis of an in situ device in the electron microscope ...
