Turbulence‐Resilient Coherent Receiver Array on CMOS‐Compatible Silicon Photonics for Free Space Optical Communications

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 5, 16 March 2026.
A CMOS‐compatible silicon‐photonic 4 × 4 coherent receiver array spatially samples turbulence‐distorted wavefronts and, with maximum‐ratio combining, enables signal recovery. Experimental BPSK tests under moderate turbulence approach theoretical combining efficiency, reducing BER from 1E‐2 to 1E‐15.

Reverse isolation and backaction of the SLUG microwave amplifier

open access: yes, 2017
An ideal preamplifier for qubit measurement must not only provide high gain and near quantum-limited noise performance, but also isolate the delicate quantum circuit from noisy downstream measurement stages while producing negligible backaction.

Gallium Nitride Schottky Devices for UV and Particle Sensing Applications

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 223, Issue 5, 6 March 2026.
Gallium nitride Schottky devices on native substrates have potential for reliable, low‐leakage, and high‐performance radiation detection in extreme environments. The study explores carrier dynamics by laterally scanning a pulsed‐UV laser from the edge of the Schottky to assess charge collection, and extracts defect properties by optical‐DLTS that ...
