Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Research on Shanghai Rail Transit Signaling System Evolution Scheme

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
Objective With the rapid development of urban rail transit, the operational volume of trains has significantly increased. The existing CBTC (communication-based train control) system can no longer meet the signaling system needs of high-density ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Integrated Development of Urban and Regional Rail Transit Networks [PDF]

open access: yes中国工程科学
As China's urbanization accelerates, single-mode rail transit systems are no longer sufficient to satisfy increasingly diverse commuting needs. There is a growing demand for an integrated, multi-level rail transit model tailored to China's specific ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Strategy for Selecting Signaling System Types for Suburban Railways

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
ObjectiveThe mainstream signaling systems for suburban railways are CTCS2+ATO (Chinese train control system level 2 + automatic train operation) and CBTC (communication-based train control).

Cybersecurity Situational Awareness System Applicable for Urban Rail Transit CBTC System

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
Objective Urban rail transit CBTC (communication-based train control) systems face complex and diverse cybersecurity challenges. Existing cybersecurity tools feature high false alarm rates and poor adaptation to CBTC systems, lacking in-depth analysis of

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

The Research on Delay Propagation of Urban Rail Transit Operation under Sudden Failure

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2021
With the increase and extension of urban rail transit lines, networked operation has become an inevitable trend of rail transit operations. Once an emergency occurs, it will cause operational delays; in serious cases, it may further lead to group safety ...

Integrating COVID-19 health risks into crowding costs for transit schedule planning

open access: yesTransportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, 2022
The public transport sector worldwide experienced the worst impact in recent history, in terms of ridership loss, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic negatively affected passengers' perceptions of public transport and is likely to make a lasting ...
