Quality Assessment of Transit Potential of the Transport–Logistics System of Ukraine

Global Business Review, 2020
In the article the place of Ukraine is determined in a global transport system and attention is accented on disparity between the potential possibilities of the transport and logistics system and the real parameters of international transit through the ...

Microtransit Has the Potential to Flip Transit on Its Head

Transportation Research Record, 2021
Fixed-route transit in the U.S.A. is facing stiff competition from more convenient mobility options. Microtransit—shared transportation that offers dynamic routing and scheduling to efficiently match demand—is emerging as an ally to fixed-route services.

Transition Metals Potentiate Paraquat Toxicity

Free Radical Research Communications, 1985
The involvement of transition metal ions in paraquat toxicity was studied in bacterial model system. We show that the addition of micromolar, or lower, concentrations of copper dramatically enhanced the rate of bacterial inactivation. In contrast, the addition of chelating agents totally eliminated the killing of E. coli.

Mechanical potentials due to Raman transitions

Physical Review A, 1996
We investigate the mechanical potential of an atom due to a Raman transition. This is a generalization of the usual two-level dipole potential. With sufficiently large one- and two-photon detunings the forms of the potential and excitation probability are the same as for the two-level case, but with a scaled detuning. This allows greater effective blue

Ionization potentials of transition-metal clusters

Physical Review B, 1993
An alternative approach to the ionization potential of transition-metal clusters has been presented. The mean effective coordination number of surface atoms is taken as a parameter to reflect the d-band width of the cluster and a tight-binding theory is used to establish this relation.

DC Autotransformer-Based Traction Power Supply for Urban Transit Rail Potential and Stray Current Mitigation

IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, 2020
The rails are generally employed as the return path of traction current in urban rail transit. As the rails are not totally earth isolated, there exist the rail potential and stray current issues inevitably, which may lead to the electric shock ...

A focus group study on the potential of autonomous vehicles as a viable transportation option: Perspectives from people with disabilities and public transit agencies

, 2020
Autonomous vehicle (AV) technology is becoming one of the most promising alternatives to improve mobility for people with disabilities. Nevertheless, how people with disabilities perceive AV as transportation services has not been explored. Also, limited

The transitional potential of ‘biographicity’

Adult Education Discourses, 2021
‘Biographicity’ is a concept that has been discussed in international adult education for more than 30 years. It has stimulated research concepts and has become a metaphor for the resilience potential of biographical learning processes in modernised modern societies. A basic theoretical foundation has so far been lacking.

Identification of neighborhood typology for potential transit-oriented development

, 2020
While a good number of studies have defined neighborhood typologies based on transit-oriented development (TOD) factors, the literature offers limited clues for the identification of neighborhood types that are likely to be designated as TODs.
