TRANSITION MATRIX MONTE CARLO [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics C, 1999
Although histogram methods have been extremely effective for analyzing data from Monte Carlo simulations, they do have certain limitations, including the range over which they are valid and the difficulties of combining data from independent simulations.

Generalized topological transition matrix [PDF]

open access: yesTopological Methods in Nonlinear Analysis, 2016
This article represents a major step in the unification of the theory of algebraic, topological and singular transition matrices by introducing a definition which is a generalization that encompasses all of the previous three. When this more general transition matrix satisfies the additional requirement that it covers flow-defined Conley-index ...

Transition matrix theory

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2017
In this article we present a unification of the theory of algebraic, singular, topological and directional transition matrices by introducing the (generalized) transition matrix which encompasses each of the previous four. Some transition matrix existence results are presented as well as verification that each of the previous transition matrices are ...

Delocalization transition for the Google matrix [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2009
We study the localization properties of eigenvectors of the Google matrix, generated both from the World Wide Web and from the Albert-Barabasi model of networks. We establish the emergence of a delocalization phase for the PageRank vector when network parameters are changed.

Transition matrix cluster algorithms [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics C, 2019
We demonstrate that a series of procedures for increasing the efficiency of transition matrix calculations can be realized by integrating the standard single-spin flip transition matrix method with global cluster flipping techniques. Our calculations employ a simple and accurate method based on detailed balance for computing the density of states from

A cluster controller for transition matrix calculations [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics C, 2019
We demonstrate that a temperature schedule for single-spin flip transition matrix calculations can be simply and rapidly generated by monitoring the average size of the Wolff clusters at a set of discrete temperatures. Optimizing this schedule yields a potentially interesting quantity related to the fractal structure of Ising clusters.

Anderson transition for Google matrix eigenstates [PDF]

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, 2015
We introduce a number of random matrix models describing the Google matrix G of directed networks. The properties of their spectra and eigenstates are analyzed by numerical matrix diagonalization. We show that for certain models it is possible to have an algebraic decay of PageRank vector with the exponent similar to real directed networks. At the same

CHAOS–ORDER TRANSITION IN MATRIX THEORY [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 1998
Classical dynamics in SU(2) matrix theory is investigated. A classical chaos–order transition is found. For small enough angular momentum (even for small coupling constant), the system exhibits a chaotic behavior, for large enough angular momentum, the system is regular.
