Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Transitive reduction of a rectangular boolean matrix
This paper deals with simplification of rectangular Boolean matrices of zeros and ones. For x,y whose values are zero or one, the following operations are defined \(x+y=\max (x,y), x\Theta y=\max (0,x-y)\) and for \(m\times n\) Boolean matrices A,B, \(A\Theta\) B and \(A\leq B\) are defined elementwise.

The IMM tracking algorithm for maneuvering target with adaptive Markov transition probability matrix
This paper proposes an interacting multi-model (IMM) tracking algorithm based on the adaptive Markov transition probability matrix, which can be utilized in radar systems for maneuvering target tracking. The algorithm constructs likelihood ratio function

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

THE HAGEDORN TRANSITION AND THE MATRIX MODEL FOR STRINGS [PDF]
We use the matrix formalism to investigate what happens to strings above the Hagedorn temperature. We show that is not a limiting temperature but a temperature at which the continuum string picture breaks down. We study a collection of N D-0-branes arranged to form a string having N units of light-cone momentum.

Matrix measures and random walks [PDF]
In this paper we study the connection between matrix measures and random walks with a tridiagonal block transition matrix. We derive sufficient conditions such that the blocks of the n-step transition matrix of the Markov chain can be represented as ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Random-matrix approach to transition-state theory
To model a complex system intrinsically separated by a barrier, we use two random Hamiltonians, coupled to each other either by a tunneling matrix element or by an intermediate transition state.
