Synthesis, Characterization and Coordinating Behaviour of Aminoalcohol Complexes with Transition Metals

open access: yesE-Journal of Chemistry, 2008
The complexation of aminoalcohols with various transition metal and metal complexes have long and varied history. Since these complexes have found applications in various fields, the coordinating behaviour of these complexes should be investigated more ...

Complexation of lanthanides, actinides and transition metal cations with a 6-(1,2,4-triazin-3-yl)-2,2’:6’,2’’-terpyridine ligand: implications for actinide(III) /lanthanide(III) partitioning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The quadridentate N-heterocyclic ligand 6-(5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1,2,4-benzotriazin-3-yl)-2,2’:6’,2’’-terpyridine (CyMe4-hemi-BTBP) has been synthesized and its interactions with Am(III), U(VI), Ln(III) and some transition metal cations ...

Computational Screening of Photodynamics of Transition-Metal Complexes

open access: yes, 2023
The design of photoactive compounds is challenging due to the complicated nature that the ensuing photodynamics can assume. The complexity of this problem increases with the size and flexibility of the system, and the challenge becomes especially ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

DFT Studies on the Early-Transition-Metal-Catalyzed Polymerization of Polar Monomers with a Methylene Spacer between Vinyl and Functional Groups

open access: yes, 2022
Direct (co)polymerization of polar monomers is the most economical and efficient method to prepare functional olefins. However, because some early-transition-metal catalysts are very sensitive to polar functional groups due to Lewis acid–base ...
