Research on Dynamic Modeling and Transition Flight Strategy of VTOL UAV

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
A vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can meet both VTOL and horizontal flight performance, but how to achieve a safe and stable transition is a research focus of this type of aircraft.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Quantum phase transition in the Yukawa-SYK model

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We study the quantum phase transition upon varying the fermionic density ν in a solvable model with random Yukawa interactions between N bosons and M fermions, dubbed the Yukawa-SYK model.

A symmetry-based length model for characterizing the hypersonic boundary layer transition on a slender cone at moderate incidence

open access: yesAdvances in Aerodynamics, 2022
The hypersonic boundary layer (HBL) transition on a slender cone at moderate incidence is studied via a symmetry-based length model: the SED-SL model. The SED-SL specifies an analytic stress length function (which defines the eddy viscosity) describing a

Ising model of a glass transition

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2013
Numerical simulations by Tanaka and coworkers indicate that glass forming systems of moderately polydisperse hard-core particles, in both two and three dimensions, exhibit diverging correlation lengths. These correlations are described by Ising-like critical exponents, and are associated with diverging, Vogel-Fulcher-Tamann, structural relaxation times.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Transition in the complex and chaotic international systems: Iran [PDF]

open access: yesFaṣlnāmah-i Pizhūhish/hā-yi Rāhburdī-i Siyāsat, 2018
Transition in the international system is a prevalent and inevitable process and theories of international relations really pay attention to this. But development of international system and emergence of complex and chaotic system make a change in power ...

Ising model for the freezing transition

open access: yesPhysical Review E
A spin-1 Ising model incorporating positional order to a standard lattice gas with no attractive interactions is introduced and found to be consistent with all known attributes of the freezing transition of the hard-sphere system. Implementation of attractive interactions in a fairly natural way then allows every aspect of the phase diagram of a simple

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Transition Systems with Independence and Multi-Arcs

open access: yes, 1997
We extend the model of transition systems with independence in order to provide it with a feature relevant in the noninterleaving analysis of concurrent systems, namely multi-arcs.
