Seasonal influenza vaccination among people with diabetes: influence of patients’ characteristics and healthcare use on behavioral changes

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, 2020
Annual seasonal influenza vaccination (SIV) is recommended for people with diabetes, but vaccine coverage remains low. We estimated the probabilities of stopping or starting SIV, their correlates, and the expected time spent in the vaccinated state over ...

Computation of Characteristics of C IV Transitions

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2023
In this research, we computed transition probabilities, line strength, and oscillator strengths of more than 5000 transitions in C IV. Very few values of these spectroscopic characteristics were previously known and reported.

Tehran Stock Exchange dynamics in a Markov regime switching EGARCH-in-mean model [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات مالی, 2014
This paper examines regime shifts in TEDPIX return and volatility and the effects of positive and negative crude oil shocks and gold price fluctuations on stock market shifts behavior using Markov switching EGARCH model with Student’s t-distribution.

THE GRADUATION OF TRANSITION INTENSITIES FROM SEMI-MARKOV PROCESSES TO PREMIUM PRICING

open access: yesBarekeng, 2023
One of the important assumptions of the premium pricing of a health insurance product is the probability for someone suffers from a certain disease. In this paper, the disability income model is applied to a company using two covariates, namely age and ...

Sequential Movie Genre Prediction Using Average Transition Probability with Clustering

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
In recent movie recommendations, one of the most important issues is to predict the user’s sequential behavior to be able to suggest the next movie to watch.

Radiative Properties of Rb-Isoelectronic Technetium (Tc VII), Ruthenium (Ru VIII) and Rhodium (Rh IX) Ions for Astrophysical Applications

open access: yesAtoms, 2022
In this work, we present high-accuracy spectroscopic properties, such as line strengths, transition probabilities and oscillator strengths for allowed transitions among nD3/2,5/2,n′S1/2 and n′P1/2,3/2(n=4,n′=5,6) states of Rb-isoelectronic Tc (Tc VII ...

Generalized “transition probability” [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1975
An operationally meaningful symmetric function defined on pairs of states of an arbitrary physical system is constructed and is shown to coincide with the usual “transition probability” in the special case of systems admitting a quantum-mechanical description. It can be used to define a metric in the set of physical states.

Coal Seam Thickness Prediction Based on Transition Probability of Structural Elements

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Coal seam thickness prediction is crucial in coal mine design and coal mining. In order to improve the prediction accuracy, an improved Kriging interpolation method on the basis of efficient data and Radial Basis Function (RBF-Kriging) is firstly ...

An Adapted Discrete Lindley Model Emanating from Negative Binomial Mixtures for Autoregressive Counts

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Analysing autoregressive counts over time remains a relevant and evolving matter of interest, where oftentimes the assumption of normality is made for the error terms. In the case when data are discrete, the Poisson model may be assumed for the structure

Pseudo-Qutrit Formed by Two Interacting Identical Spins (s = 1/2) in a Variable External Magnetic Field

open access: yesEntropy, 2023
An analytical solution is obtained for the problem of two interacting, identical but separated spin 1/2 particles in a time-dependent external magnetic field, in a general case. The solution involves isolating the pseudo-qutrit subsystem from a two-qubit
