Development of translucent zirconia by robocasting
Materials Letters, 2022Partially translucent zirconia for dental applications was developed by robocasting using aqueous-based inks of zirconia doped with 5 mol.%Y2O3 as feedstock and a printing nozzle with 0.25 mm diameter. The manufactured samples were sintered at 1600 °C-2 h and characterized by crystalline phases, microstructure, mechanical properties and opacity.

Formation of translucent nanostructured zirconia ceramics
Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2021Abstract In this work the mechanisms that affect the optical transparency of nanostructured translucent ZrO2 ceramics are studied. The translucent ceramic samples were obtained from a low agglomeration nanosized powder at low pressure and low temperature sintering.

Translucency of shaded zirconia core material
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2011With the development of various zirconia core shades, questions arise regarding the effect of the shaded zirconia on the translucency of ceramic crowns. The purpose of this study was to investigate the translucency of the 3 Procera Zirconia shaded core materials.

Effect of Zirconia Pigmentation on Translucency.
The European journal of prosthodontics and restorative dentistry, 2018the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of shading on translucency and mean grain size of three Zirconia systems (Lava Frame, Ice Zirkon Translucent and Prettau Zirkon).specimens pigmented in A1, A4 and a non-pigmented specimen was evaluated with Scanning Electron Microscopy and spectrophotometery.the transmittance ranged between 0.18 and 0.

Effect of Sintering Conditions on Translucency of High Translucent Zirconia
Key Engineering Materials, 2019Sintering of zirconia usually takes a long time. In recent years, new products with extremely short sintering time have been released. Therefore, it is useful to study in detail the effect of sintering temperature and time on translucency of zirconia.

Translucency of Zirconia Ceramics before and after Artificial Aging
Journal of Prosthodontics, 2018AbstractPurposeThe aging of zirconia ceramics (Y‐TZP) is associated with tetragonal to monoclinic phase transformation. This change in microstructure may affect the optical properties of the ceramic. This study examines the effect of aging on the translucency of different zirconia materials.Materials and Methods120 disc‐shaped specimens were fabricated

Full-arch prostheses from translucent zirconia: Accuracy of fit
Dental Materials, 2014The aim of this study was to evaluate the marginal and internal fit of single crowns, compared to 14-unit frameworks made of translucent yttria-stabilized zirconia. We hypothesized that there is an influence of the type of restoration on the marginal and internal fit.Eight teeth (FDI locations 17, 15, 13, 11, 21, 23, 25 and 27) of a typodont maxillary ...

Translucency of IPS e.max and cubic zirconia monolithic crowns
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2018Although several monolithic zirconia ceramics have recently been introduced, the need for improved optical properties remains. The newest cubic-zirconia has been claimed to have optimal translucency characteristics for esthetic restorations. This in vitro study evaluated the optical properties of novel cubic ultratranslucent (UT) and supertranslucent ...
