SCALING OF THE TRANSMISSION AND REFLECTION COEFFICIENTS NEAR THE MOBILITY EDGE

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 1990
The behavior of the optical transmission and reflection coefficients near the mobility edge of a disordered medium which elastically scatters light are discussed using a scaling theory. The transmission coefficient shows an interesting dependence on slab thickness. The coherent back scattering peak has a width determined by the correlation length and a

Transmission and reflection coefficients in the slowing down region

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1979
The Green’s function approach which was formulated by Case is used to obtain the reflection and transmission coefficients for slab geometry in the slowing down region using the Greuling–Goertzel approximation for the scattering kernel. We obtain a set of linear equations for the coefficients using the principles of invariance.

Non-Uniform Transmission Lines and Reflection Coefficients

Journal of Applied Physics, 1946
A first-order differential equation for the voltage reflection coefficient of a non-uniform line is obtained and it is shown how this equation may be used to calculate the resonant wave-lengths of tapered lines.

Reflection and transmission coefficients for thin bianisotropic layers

IEE Proceedings - Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, 1998
The paper presents approximate analytical solutions for reflection and transmission coefficients of general uniaxial bianisotropic media slabs. The analysis is based on generalised second-order impedance boundary conditions (GIBC) simulating bianisotropic slabs. The GIBC are obtained using the averaging procedure.

Mimic materials electromagnetic reflection and transmission coefficient

2017
The paper is focused on a design method to build layered materials able to mimic the reflection and transmission coefficient profile of really existing or even invented dielectric materials. The design method is based on particle swarm optimization algorithm and electromagnetic matrix formalism which allows the minimization of an objective function ...
