Analysis of Inherent Characteristics of Robot Joint Transmission System

open access: yes, 2022
As the core component of robots, the robot joint is mainly composed of drive control system and multi-stage gear transmission system. Under high speed and high load, the dynamic characteristics of gear transmission system are more complex.

Establishing an Apheresis Medicine Program in a Resource‐Constrained Setting: A 5‐Year Experience From Lagos, Nigeria

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Loss of cultural song diversity and the convergence of songs in a declining Hawaiian forest bird community [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2019
The effects of population decline on culturally transmitted behaviours in animals have rarely been described, but may have major implications to population viability. Learned vocal signals in birds are of critical importance to behaviours associated with

Experimental investigation on the dynamic characteristics and transverse vibration instabilities of transmission belts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Serpentine belt drives are often used in front end accessory drive of automotive engine. Dynamic characteristics of belts play an important role in the behavior of such transmission and are inputs of simulation software. Moreover, free belt spans exhibit

DC and radio-frequency transmission characteristics of double-walled carbon nanotubes-based ink [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWNTs) network layers were patterned using inkjet transfer printing. The remarkable conductive characteristics of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are considered as promising candidates for transmission line as well ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Study on Electromechanical Coupling Dynamic Characteristics of Robot Joint Servo Transmission System

open access: yes, 2022
At present, the robot joint servo is developing towards miniaturization and integration. In view of the high operation accuracy requirements of intelligent robots, it is very necessary to study the dynamic characteristics of the typical motor driven gear
