NUMERICAL METHODS FOR DISCONTINUOUS STURM-LIOUVILLE PROBLEMS
− This study is devoted to determining the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of a discontinuous Sturm-Liouville Problem. By modifying the finite difference method, we have developed anumerical approximation to the eigenvalues and ...

In this paper, we consider a Sturm–Liouville problem with finite discontinuous points inside an interval and with abstract linear functionals in the boundary and transmission conditions.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

The motion of viscous incompressible magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is considered in a domain that is bounded by a free surface. The motion interacts through the free surface with an electromagnetic field located in a domain exterior to the free surface and ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

This paper is devoted to a new type of boundary-value problems for Sturm-Liouville equations defined on three disjoint intervals (−π,−π+d),(−π+d,π−d) and (π−d,π) together with eigenparameter dependent boundary conditions and with additional transmission

The Parseval identity for q-Sturm–Liouville problems with transmission conditions
In the present study, we investigate the existence of spectral functions and obtain the Parseval identity and expansion formula in eigenfunctions for the singular q-Sturm–Liouville problem with transmission conditions.

The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

A small-scale study on airborne transmission of H9N2 avian influenza virus under field conditions
Introduction: H9N2 avian influenza viruses (AIV) can transmit in chicken flocks through direct contact and aerosols. Nevertheless, data on airborne transmission of AIV is very limited, especially under field conditions. To fill this literature gap, this

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...
