Cooperative OFDM based maximum-ratio transmission

2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015
In this paper, a system employing orthogonal frequency division multiplexing based maximum-ratio transmission technique is presented for cooperative communications. Since maximum ratio transmission can achieve full diversity when used at tranmitters having multiple antennas while requiring no complexity increase at the receiver, it is employed both in ...

On Transmission-Ratio Computation for the Control of a Continously Variable Transmission in Agricultural Tractors

2007 American Control Conference, 2007
This paper discusses the design of the transmission-ratio control for a power-split continuously variable transmission (CVT) used in agricultural tractors. In particular, we focus on transmission ratio control, highlighting the issues related to the computation of the controlled variable in presence of significant sensor quantization errors, which are ...

Pressure Transmission Ratios

1995
Pressure transmission ratios are designed to study objectively the relative transmission of pressure to the bladder and the urethra during stress. Characteristically the stress is continuous coughing during the measurement of the cough urethral closure pressure profile. The magnitude of the pressure transmitted to these two organs is determined in Fig.

Maximum ratio transmission

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1999
This paper presents the concept, principles, and analysis of maximum ratio transmission for wireless communications where multiple antennas are used for both transmission and reception. The principles and analysis are applicable to general cases, including maximum ratio combining. Simulation results agree with the analysis.

Transmission Ratio Distortion in Mice

Annual Review of Genetics, 2003
▪ Abstract  The most studied example of transmission ratio distortion (TRD) in mice is that of the t-complex. This is a variant region of Chromosome 17 which exists as a polymorphism in wild mice. Males heterozygous for a t-haplotype and a normal Chr 17 transmit the t-haplotype to >50% of their young, up to 99%. Homozygous males are sterile.

Imprinting and deviation from Mendelian transmission ratios

Genome, 2001
Deviations from a Mendelian 1:1 transmission ratio have been observed in human and mouse chromosomes. With few exceptions, the underlying mechanism of the transmission-ratio distortion remains obscure. We tested a hypothesis that grandparental-origin dependent transmission-ratio distortion is related to imprinting and possibly results from the loss of ...

Urethral Pressures: Analysis of Transmission Pressure Ratios

British Journal of Urology, 1991
Summary Transmission pressure ratio (TPR) analysis of urethral pressure profilometry data has been advocated for the diagnosis of genuine stress incontinence (GSI). However, the clinical usefulness of the technique has not been adequately evaluated. Using videourodynamics as the gold standard, the TPR results of
