Femtosecond differential transmission spectroscopy of α-sexithienyl thin film
Journal of Luminescence, 2000We have investigated the nature of primary excitations in ?-sexithienyl thin film by comparing excitations above and below the charge transfer exciton. We performed femtosecond differential transmission spectroscopy at low temperature. In the probed spectral region from 2 to 2.8 eV, we found a bleaching of the first excited singlet with a superimposed ...

Transmission spectroscopy of a thin membrane
American Journal of Physics, 1993A few-micron-thick nitrocellulose membrane stretched flat across an open frame (a ‘‘pellicle’’) has gently modulated passbands typically spaced by 20–60 nm across the visible and near-infrared. This makes it an attractive subject for an upper-division laboratory exercise.
