Hairpin filters with tunable transmission zeros

2001 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Sympsoium Digest (Cat. No.01CH37157), 2002
In the previous work, it was found that filter designed with 0/spl deg/ feed structure could have two extra transmission zeros in the stopband. In this paper, a method for tuning the frequencies of these two transmission zeros using impedance transformers is proposed.

Bipolar Pulse Transmission with Zero Extraction

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1969
A family of pulse transmission plans, suitable for wire pair or coaxial repeatered lines is described. In these plans alternate pulses are inverted before transmission, and blocks of n successive spaces are replaced by distinctive patterns. The resulting pulse stream has no dc component and a minimum pulse density of 1/n .

Packet Detection for Zero-Padded OFDM Transmission

IEICE Transactions on Communications, 2008
A packet detection method for zero-padded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission is presented. The proposed algorithm effectively conducts packet detection by employing both an M-sample time delayed cross correlation value, and a received signal power calculated by using the received input samples corresponding to the zero ...

Direct computation of infinite transmission zeros

Proceedings of 1995 American Control Conference - ACC'95, 2005
Presents an algorithm for the computation of infinite transmission zeros of square multivariable linear time-invariant systems. The algorithm is computationally fast and efficient since operations are only carried out on the system transfer function matrix, which usually has small size compared to the system's order, and has stable numerical behavior ...

Plasmonic transmission lines with zero crosstalk

2016 Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC), 2016
A hybrid plasmonic parallel transmission line scheme constructed by a spatial single-mode with time-domain multi-line waveguide is presented in this paper. The proposed configuration enables a nanometer field localization with zero crosstalk between data channels. Furthermore, the proposed plasmonic transmission line shows the advantages of enabling an

Decentralized transmission zeros of descriptor systems

29th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1990
The concepts of finite decentralized transmission zeros and impulsive decentralized transmission zeros are introduced for descriptor systems. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for the systems to have these zeros are obtained. They are used to describe the generalized decentralised fixed modes and impulsive decentralized fixed modes for ...

On the nonlinear equivalent of the notion of transmission zeros

2006
The purpose of this paper is to show that three possible characterizations of the notion of "transmission zero", namely "pole" of the inverse system, zero-output-constrained dynamics and unobservable dynamics under certain state-feedback, which are equivalent for any invertible linear system, may have different analogues for nonlinear input-affine ...
