Signal Reception for Space-Time Differentially Encoded Transmissions over FIR Rich Multipath Channels

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2004
With sophisticated signal and information processing algorithms, air interfaces with space-time (ST) coding and multiple reception antennas substantially improve the reliability of wireless links.

On the Capacity of Certain Space-Time Coding Schemes

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2002
We take a capacity view of a number of different space-time coding (STC) schemes. While the Shannon capacity of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels has been known for a number of years now, the attainment of these capacities remains a ...

Reduced-complexity transmit/receive-diversity systems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE VTS 53rd Vehicular Technology Conference, Spring 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37202), 2002
We consider wireless systems with transmit and receive diversity. For reduction of complexity, we propose to use hybrid selection/maximal-ratio transmission at one link end, choosing L out of N antennas. We analyze the performance of such systems, giving analytical bounds and comparing them with computer simulations.

Compressed Sensing Improves the Performance of Subcarrier Index-Modulation-Assisted OFDM

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing relying on subcarrier index modulation (OFDM-SIM), the information is conveyed by both the indices of the activated subcarriers and the conventional amplitude-phase modulated (APM) symbols.

Systematic Design of Space-Time Trellis Codes for Diversity and Coding Advantages

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2002
The emerging need for high data rate wireless services has raised considerable interest in space-time coding. In this work, we propose a systematic code construction method that jointly considers diversity advantage and coding advantage for an arbitrary ...

Achieving Transmit Diversity in OFDM-IM by Utilizing Multiple Signal Constellations

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) index modulation (IM) is a novel multicarrier modulation, which employs both the indices of the active subcarriers and conventional constellation symbols to convey information.

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

Turbo Detection of Precoded Sphere Packing Modulation Using Four Transmit Antennas for Differential Space-Time Spreading [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents a novel turbo-detected multidimensional Sphere Packing (SP) modulation scheme using four transmit antennas combined with Differentially encoded Space-Time Spreading (DSTS). The DSTS scheme can be readily combined with PSK, QAM as well

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
